Controller - Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees dealership accounting staff

  • Reinforces company policies and adheres to all company standards

  • Maintains and inspects for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

  • Ensure proper internal controls are in place

  • Review the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with outside sources and schedules to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, etc.

  • Submission of monthly financial statements to various manufacturers

  • Coding of vendor invoices

  • Fixed asset accounting for rental and loaner vehicles

  • Online banking activities

  • Other miscellaneous administrative and accounting duties as needed

Assistant Controller - Job Requirements:

  • Require at least 5 years accounting experience in an Automotive Dealership position

  • In-depth experience in all areas of retail automotive accounting

  • Requires strong communication and organizational skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting is preferred but not required for the highly experienced candidate

  • A stable and verifiable work history is a must
